Busy Month!
April 17th, 2022: To say the last month has been busy would be an understatement! We spent nearly 2 weeks in Peru, had the RCTC Vet Science program come out for a visit, AND got in our first show of the year! Enjoy the pictures and be sure to check out our sales page for llamas we have available. Our prospective herdsire is still available, and he took 1st and 2nd with his judges at MLM out of a class of 20!
October 2nd & 3rd, 2021: Lamapalooza
Our last show of the year, and boy was it a busy one! At the Llamapalooza show, we had the opportunity to show off a lot of our herd and had a very successful show. We are especially proud of our animals from the VVA Sophera line (first in her class), her son Hendrix took 2nd in his stud class and his son (TAF Watchtower) got to participate in his first show.
October 1st, 2021: Lamabilities
This year we had the pleasure of being a part of a new service event that took place the day before Lamapalooza. The event was called Lamabilities and gave people with different levels of abilities the chance to share in some of the joy that comes with interacting with llamas and being at a show. For a first time event, we are very happy with the results and served 20 families! A huge thank you goes out to all of our sponsors, the participants, and all of the kids that helped out making the lamabilities event a success.
September 3rd, 2021: MN State Fair
August is by far our busiest month of the year. The MN State fair has come and gone and we were able to take 3 llamas with us up to the fair this year. Our daughter has been working with our yearling "Peppar" throughout the summer and we are very pleased with the resulting ribbons she won (3rd, 4th, and 5th). Hope you had a great time visiting the MN State fair - and if you didn't make it - try to go next year!
Stewartville Summerfest!
July 4th, 2021: This year we were asked if we could bring the llamas to Stewartville Summerfest and their arts in the park event at Bear Cave Park. We'd like to say a big THANK YOU to R&C storage for sponsoring us coming to this amazing event and the members of the Stewartville chamber of commerce for extending the initial invitation to us. We showed up with 4 of our favorite public relations llamas: Mars, Cookie, Meme and Peppar. (We'll go by their farm names and not registered names, as they are much shorter!) We kept a rotation of llamas going for the first couple hours and got lots of llama selfies taken and lots of smiles from the kids! We are very thankful for being given a spot in the shade and for remembering to pack a) hand sanitizer and b) a bag of ice for the trailer! It was HOT and after 2 hours of selfies, the llamas wanted to just hangout in the trailer (which was slightly cooler with the ice). Overall, we had a great time teaching folks about llamas, getting lots of smiles from the kids (and adults too), and meeting some of our country neighbors. Thank you all for stopping by our booth! We look forward to participating in this event again next year!
Hope you all had a great 4th of July celebrating our Independence day!

2021: Llama Hikes! (delayed)
With everyone getting vaccinated and activities starting to ramp back up to full speed, our weekends are getting booked up fast! Unfortunately, this means the time we previously had to plan out the details for the llama hikes simply has not been available. We still plan on doing at least 1 llama hike event this year - for all those who have already contacted us with interest - thank you! If you want to be included, please contact us.
Love nature? Love Hikes? Love Llamas? Ever think about combining all three?
This spring/summer, Tydi Acres Farm (in cooperation with AdDe's Humming Llamas) will be setting dates for Llama hikes at some of our favorite parks to take the llamas for a hike. Does this sound like something you'd be interested in? Let us know by emailing us from our Contact page!

May 14th, 2021 Sacred Heart and St Marks
The ladies did some PR work today - taking llamas for a meet and greet at the Sacred Heart and St Marks skilled nursing facilities. Its always great to bring joy to folks' lives, especially given all we've been through for the past year.
April 30th-May 2nd, 2021: Heartland Llama Show
Llama show season is upon us! Our crew headed down to Heartland Llama show, while some of our friends headed east for March Llama Madness (MLM). As always, we had a great time showing llamas and catching up with friends that we weren't able to see last year due to the pandemic. Looking forward to more shows throughout the midwest this year!
February 12th-14th, 2021: Valentines Day LlamaGrams!
Happy Valentines Day!
BRRRR!!!! The cold temps had us shuffling plans - so the babies (crias) stayed home, we prepped the trailer, and brought out our llamas with the thickest coats. Cookie, Mars, and Hendrix did a great job meeting new folks and got lots of treats - the cold clearly bothered the people more than the llamas! We've added some pictures to a slideshow below. Did you participate in llamagrams and have a picture you'd love to share? Please let us know by using the Contact page and send us an email!
HUGE Thank you to Gwens Confections of Racine, MN for making the delicious cupcakes for this event, and thank you to all the families that opened their hearts to this experience.

December 23rd, 2020: Stewartville Care Center Visit
2020 has been a rough year for everyone - especially those staying in care facilities whom are unable to visit with their loved ones. We were thrilled to have opportunity to stop by the Stewartville Care Center and visit with some of the residents through the windows. While there, Hendrix met a local resident named Clem, who was able to come out to say hi.

December 20th: Christmas Nativity - Bethel Lutheran Church
Merry Christmas to all! Tydi Acres Farm (and friends) was asked to be a part of the Bethel Lutheran Church drive thru nativity. We brought some llamas and a chicken to be a part of this event, and got to dress up as wise men. Proceeds from the event were donated to Channel One Food Bank.
Didn't get to attend the drive-thru nativity, but still want to see it? Use the Youtube video link below to take the virtual tour!
